Kito Health App

What is

The Kito Health App is a free online medical health advice tool that helps parents in Kenya manage their children's symptoms. It enables them to make timely and informed decisions, reducing costs and stress for the families while avoiding overwhelming the public healthcare system.

Behind the app is a platform where doctors add information about diseases, symptoms, and treatments.

Results

• Redesign, update, and improve the user experience of the doctor's platform.

• Design new components and icons.

• Update and organize the Design System.

• Add new features to the mobile app.

• Update the logo.

• Create marketing assets for Google Play and social media, including a video.

• Create a knowledge base page.

My role

I used Figma features like variables, and auto-layout, which streamlined the prototyping, allowing me to create a high-fidelity prototype in a short time, and use for user testing. I organized the Design System, which made the transition design-development smoother. For the new features sometimes we needed new icons, which I created on Figma, based on the current icon style.

The app is already live and being used my many families. i am proud of being a part of such important project.
